MRT Blue Line Extension Project; Hua Lamphong – Bang Khae and Bang Sue – Tha Phra Sections

Project scope :
The project comprises construction of 27 km MRT Blue Line Extension route which is divided into 2 sections:
  • Hua Lamphong – Bang Khae section - total 14 km comprises 5 km underground section with 4 underground stations, and 9 km elevated section with 7 elevated stations. The alignment of this section starts at Hua Lamphong station, runs underground along Rama 4 Road, turns into Charoen Krung Road, heading towards Kamalawas Temple, Sanam Chai Road; then crossing under the Chao Phraya River at Pak Khlong Talat; continues to Itsaraphap Road. It changes to an elevated line and continues to Tha Phra intersection; turns into Phet Kasem Road, passing Bang Phai and Bang Wa, to end at the West Outer Ring Road
  • Bang Sue – Tha Phra section - total 13 km is an elevated section with 10 stations. The alignment of this section starts at Bang Sue and runs along Pracharat Road no.2, passing Bang Pho, crossing the Chao Phraya River. It then turns left into Charan Sanitwong Road and continues along the road, to terminate at the intersection with Phet Kasem Road (Tha Phra Intersection)
Accomplishments :

Services provided include: 

  • Supervising contractors’ activities for conformity with their contracts and provide good engineering services through the design review, design approval, inspection, and construction supervision including the commissioning of the Project
  • Coordination with all parties involved in the project in the fulfillment of their contractual obligations
  • Providing recommendations for remedial measures against problems and obstacles encountered in the Project
  • Civil works supervision, railway system safety and certification
  • Proceeding and report the PMC on acceptance upon final testing, system commissioning, trial running and commercial operation  of the Project
  • Inspect and report on all related works and work progress continuously throughout the implementation program 
  • Inspection, testing and commissioning
