Project scope :

Since the completion of the Taksin (Sathorn) Bridge and its approach road in 1982, a great volume of traffic flow directly to this bridge and causes severe traffic congestion in the Wongwian Yai Area. The connecting road between Taksin and Phetkasem roads will relieve the traffic congestion at Wongwain Yai, at main intersection nearby, including Memorial Bridge and Krungthep Bridge. The connecting road project was devided into 2 contract packages: Taksin –Ratchadapisek section and Ratchadapisek – Phetkasem section.
Taksin – Ratchadapisek section consists of the following facilities:
1. 2 Identical flyover bridges, each bridge is 12.30 m wide and 794 m long
2. 5 minor bridges Each bridge is 11.0 m wide and 15.0 m long
3. 2 pedestrian bridges with the length of 62 and 70 m accordingly
4. 10 traffic lanes at-grade road with the length of 1,008 m
